Traumatic, degenerative, and rheumatologic diseases of joints and soft tissues are frequent, painful, and sometimes incapacitating diseases. The main treatment objectives are to reduce or suppress pain and inflammation, and to preserve muscle and joint function.

Topical anti-inflammatory preparations (creams/gels/lotions) are used to ease muscle pains, sprains and strains. They can also help to ease painful arthritis.

Traumon® Gel is a powerful, effective anti-inflammatory medication aimed at reducing pain from muscle pain, tendon pain, back pain, arthritis pain, and sports injuries.

The active ingredient in Traumon® Gel (Etofenamate) has been especially developed for topical application.

Topical anti-inflammatory preparations are sometimes prescribed instead of oral anti-inflammatory medicines because they have fewer side-effects.

Topical anti-inflammatory preparations work in the same way as oral anti-inflammatory medication but, instead of having an effect on all of the body, they only work on the area you have applied them to.

On application, Traumon® Gel’s active ingredient (Etofenamate) is slowly absorbed through the skin.   The active ingredient then moves deeper into areas of the body where there is inflammation (for example, your muscle or joint) relieving the pain and reducing the swelling affecting the area for fast and effective recovery.

Traumon® Gel 10% is to be applied three times a day in a thin layer on the affected parts of the body and is to be gently rubbed into the skin.

Traumon® Gel is available from pharmacies.  Always read the product leaflet. Ask your pharmacist or doctor for further advice
