The Role
Main objectives of the job:
The Marketing Executive needs to achieve the Company’s set objectives, aid in in the preparation and implementation of marketing plans and budgets whilst managing the merchandising team to reach their set tasks.
Competency Requirements:
Education
- A minimum University Degree in Marketing/Communications
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Skillsets & Requirements
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications,
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Maltese,
- Valid driving license
- Well-organized and detail oriented.
- Project management skills would be a plus.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, control and co-ordinate activities of business and sales team used during functions,
- Identify non-quality training requirements, propose forms of training required for business and sales team,
- Assist in formulation and implementation of marketing plans for all brands within the company’s portfolio,
- All plans must fall within pre-approved Advertising and Promotional budgets, the management of which will be handled together with your superior,
- Work together with superior to set-up, develop and maintain company’s website and Facebook page,
- Assist in the planning and coordination of activities to further penetrate our products into the Local Market,
- Conduct Market Research activities and to report results to superior,
- Work at establishing and maintaining a database of competitors’ products and product attributes, prices, activities and offers – recommend action to maximise company’s competitive advantage,
- Analyse and evaluate distribution channels in terms of profitability,
- Maintain a list of POS and other materials held at the various outlets,
- Investigate and report in writing on potential of any products which the company may be thinking of introducing in the market,
- Together with superior, hold formal meetings with the merchandisers and sales team to communicate with them the Company’s marketing strategies and tactics,
- Ensure that the sales team and personnel who are in direct contact with clients are aware of attributes of company products in the sector in which they are selling; keep them well informed of any planned activities which concern the products the Company sells,
- Provide sales aids/presentation material to merchandisers, sales team and personnel who are in direct contact with clients,
- To maintain websites, and measure website performance using Google Analytics or other relevant tools,
- To manage social media platforms while implementing necessary growth strategies to achieve maximum Return on Investment; this is inclusive of checking messages/comments from all social media platforms and inform Business Managers accordingly in case there are any unattended messages/comments. In case of a potential adverse event, product technical complaint and/or medical inquiry these should be reported to PV Manager and/or deputy,
- To create marketing content for various brands while assisting in the preparation of communications material; Content should always be verified with Business Manager before this is launched and made available on the social media platforms; in case of medicinal products content must be vetted by Regulatory personnel before content is made available,
- To prepare quarterly performance reports,
- To carry out research while staying abreast on the latest digital developments.
