The Role

We are looking for a Shipping Clerk to join our team. The Shipping Clerk will form part of a bigger team in the Shipping Department and report to the Manager. The Clerk will be responsible for inputting orders and invoices and liaising with the breadth of suppliers and freight providers that the Company works with.

The Responsibilities

The Shipping Clerk shall be responsible to assist in the day-to-day running of a busy Shipping Department. Further responsibilities shall include:

  • Inputting of orders
  • Checking of invoices
  • Liasing with suppliers
  • Inputting of customs entries
  • Liasing with freight forwarders

The Candidate

The ideal candidate should have at least an O’Level in English or Mathematics or equivalent. Candidates with an A’Level standard will be preferred.

The role requires a proficient use of Microsoft applications especially Excel and Word, so digital literacy is a must.

Previous experience in a similar role will be considered an asset.

We are seeking an individual who is organised, self-motivated and has excellent communication skills to form part of a team and manage the communication with the various stakeholders.
