Competency Requirements
Minimum qualification and education:
- MCAST Advanced Diploma for Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience working in the pharmaceutical industry is considered an asset
Other competencies:
- A good team player.
- Well spoken in Maltese and English.
- Good writing skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Organized.
Main objectives of the job
The Quality Officer shall be involved in coordination between the various departments to ensure that streamlined quality systems are in place.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Shall work diligently with good management and organizational skills.
- Shall file all documents, records and correspondence in an orderly manner so that they are easily accessible.
- Shall keep up to date on all quality matters including local and EU Directives.
- Shall be required to attend local seminars and if necessary accept training overseas.
- Shall liaise closely with the Responsible Person(s) as well as maintain an excellent relation with the Medicines Authority.
- Shall submit reports on quality matters as required.
- Shall have appropriate competence and experience as well as knowledge of and training in GDP.
- Shall assist in the preparation of job descriptions.
- Shall assist in the preparation of Standard Operating Procedures, OIs, Forms and other quality-controlled documents.
- Shall assist in the maintenance of the Quality Manual.
- Shall assist in self-inspections and that the necessary corrective measures are put in place.
- Shall collate data to be used in reports, investigations, KPIs and other quality indicting metrics.
- Shall assist in the implementation of change requests.
- Shall assist in the validation / mapping / calibration activities. This shall involve: writing of protocols and reports in relation to these activities; coordinating between the various groups involved (both internally and externally).
- Shall be present (as required) to the Medicine Authority audits and any other external audits that are GDP-related.
- Shall ensure Supplier GDP requirements are met.
- Shall support in continuous improvement activities.
- Shall execute other duties as may be required, as far as training and experience allow.
- Perform yearly checks to verify suppliers’ warehouses used for delivery of AGSL goods.
- Perform regular checks on end-customer licences (wholesalers and pharmacies).
- Entering customer complaints into relevant spread sheet.
